Our Process

Thank you for your interest in Gymboree Play & Music! There are three (3) steps to becoming a Gymboree Play & Music Franchisee.

The process begins when you complete and submit the online pre-qualification questionnaire. Get Started

Step 1

Apply

Complete and return Application and Confidential Financial Statement.

Step 2

Explore

a. Review our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
b. Speak with Play & Music representatives and franchisees
c. Visit an operating location
d. Meet the Home Office team at your Discovery Day

Step 3

Make it official

a. Sign your Franchise Agreement and join the franchise community!
b. Learn all there is to know at Initial Franchise Training (IFT)

Financial Requirements

To Qualify:

Mobile

$50,000 net worth per territory, with at least $25,000 of that amount in liquid assets

Brick & Mortar Location

$100,000 – $270,000 in net worth per location, with at least $50,000 - $90,000 of that amount in liquid assets

Franchise Fee:

Mobile

$20,000 initial franchise fee

Brick & Mortar Location

$35,000 - $45,000 initial franchise fee for the first franchise award, based on chosen model. (A transfer fee applies in lieu of the Franchise Fee, for resale locations.)

$56,250 - $95,800
Additional costs based on the number of operating locations

Brick & Mortar Location

$135,000 - $389,100 for a full-sized, 2-room Play & Music Center with play floor size options
$106,000 - $244,600 for a single-room Metro center with play floor size options
